Scope of Truth Pricing

Free Core, usage credits, and Enterprise Controls.

ClariLayer keeps the core metric lifecycle open: define, release, observe, collaborate, and connect without feature-tier gates. Action-style AI, validation, catalog, deploy, and rollback usage scales through credits, while selected enterprise controls remain sales-managed.

Public launch

Free Core

Core metric lifecycle capabilities are available without feature tiers so teams can start governing metrics immediately.

Start Free
  • Define, release, observe, and collaborate on governed metrics
  • Workspace collaboration, roles, approvals, and Notes
  • Basic API keys and connectors for active product use
  • 5,000 monthly free credits per workspace
  • Monthly credits reset with no rollover

Metered usage

Usage Credits

Usage beyond the free monthly grant runs on credits. Self-serve credit packs are available from billing settings after signup.

Start Free
  • AI conversations, summaries, catalog refreshes, validations, deploys, and rollbacks are credit-metered
  • API contract reads remain observe-only during beta
  • Launch, Growth, and Scale packs are available through Stripe Checkout
  • Committed credits are handled through sales-led agreements
  • Low-balance warnings and receipts are visible in billing settings

Sales-managed

Enterprise Controls

Selected security, compliance, admin, and lifecycle controls remain Enterprise-only as ClariLayer becomes infrastructure.

Talk to sales
  • SSO/SAML, SCIM, and advanced identity administration
  • Advanced integrations and admin controls
  • Audit export, log retention, and data lifecycle controls
  • Committed-credit terms, security review, and support commitments
  • Migration planning for existing paid subscribers

Capability Model

Core capabilities stay available; usage and controls scale.

Free Core is for real product use. Credits capture variable AI and automation usage, while Enterprise Controls cover the security and compliance depth that needs a shared rollout plan.

Free actions

  • Metric authoring and definition governance
  • Warehouse catalog browsing and normal workflow navigation
  • Release bundles, approval collaboration, and Notes
  • Basic API keys, basic connectors, members, and roles

Credit-metered actions

  • AI conversations and generated summaries
  • Warehouse catalog refreshes and validations
  • Validation actions, direct deploys, and rollbacks
  • Paid top-ups and committed-credit agreements

No-credit beta actions

  • Canonical Metric API reads during beta
  • Normal product navigation and registry reads
  • Comments, approvals, Notes, and note pins
  • Manual metric edits and governance collaboration

Enterprise-only controls

  • SSO/SAML, SCIM, and advanced identity policy
  • Advanced integrations and admin controls
  • Audit export, retention, and data lifecycle administration
  • Committed credits, security review, and support commitments

Free Core credit posture

Every workspace receives 5,000 free credits each month. Paid credit packs are available from billing settings, and committed credits remain sales-led for larger rollouts.

Public registration is open through the Free Core signup path, with revenue-safety throttles and an emergency activation disable switch still available.

Self-serve credit packs are available to workspace admins from billing settings; committed credits remain sales-led.

API reads remain observe-only during beta. Action-style AI, warehouse, validation, deploy, and rollback usage can debit credits.

If a metered action fails after a debit, the reversal appears in the wallet receipt trail.

Existing customers will receive migration communication before any subscription or credit transition action.

Credit Consumption

Credits are spent on action-style AI and automation work.

Free monthly credits are consumed before paid or committed credits. Normal reads, comments, approvals, Notes, and API contract reads stay in Free Core during beta.

Expansion Path

Start with Free Core, expand through usage and controls.

Beta teams can prove the governed metric workflow first. As agents, dashboards, and internal systems depend on the Canonical Metric API, credits and Enterprise Controls create a commercial path without closing off core capabilities.

  1. 01

    Create a Free Core workspace.

  2. 02

Use Free Core to govern metrics, collaborate, and release.

  3. 03

Review credit usage as AI and automation volume grows.

  4. 04

Move to sales-led terms when committed credits or Enterprise Controls are needed.

Govern the definitions your agents are about to act on.

Start with Free Core, then add usage credits or Enterprise Controls when your governed metrics become operational infrastructure.
